Naturally I’d gravitate toward high denoms to stay faithful to the movie, and just use it as a tourney set. If nobody has done it before, I think this might be a bang-up no mold ceramic set (even if that means going the faux hot stamp route). Noticed a thread created by a couple years ago but as far as I can tell, Ocean Club chips were not produced. So, now for the fun stuff: have these ever been replicated by a PCF member, perhaps as a Chinese ceramic? I’m sure a faux hot stamp would do an adequate job but to my eyes, the movie chips look like they had a textured inlay (are textured inlays a thing or am I imagining this?). Pass along the stone steps of the terraced garden marvelling at the marble statues. Inspired by the romantic grandeur of Versailles, this once private estate is now a secluded oasis. Post in thread 'Poker Chips in Movies – The Good, the Bad and the Ugly'Īccording to the link below the chips were never officially replicated and were only sold at the 50 Years of Bond auction: The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort, Bahamas enjoys a remarkable setting, with terraced gardens and elegant colonial architecture. The denoms around the edge remind me of some Matusi design, but folks say the originals were made by B&G: Not all of these games have their chips shown up close but the Ocean Club game, where Bond wins the Aston, does. Was just rewatching Casino Royale (2006) for the millionth time and noticed just how many smaller poker games foreshadow the big game.
